The Brief:
The back of house areas contained asbestos insulation board and insulation board debris in 2 locations, which meant the shop, could not be let.
The Solution:
To submit notification to the health and safety executive and carry out the safe removal of the asbestos materials by building 2 separate enclosures within the property. All asbestos was removed successfully, the HSE visited site and was extremely happy with the site conditions and performance. During the works and on completion air monitoring was carried out proving safe removal and air clearance. The shop is now ready for a full refurbishment without the risk of exposing contractors to dangerous asbestos fibres.
