Roofing Case Study
Over Cladding of Asbestos Roof
The Brief –
Our client’s roof was tired and passed its design life span. After years of sporadic roof repairs our client had finally had enough and sought a solution.
Our client was insistent that there should be minimal disruption to the day to day business.
The Solution –
Over cladding was the ideal solution on this occasion. We could get the roof watertight without disturbing the existing structure and the business could continue operating whilst our work was being carried out.
The roof was covered with box profile metal cladding with barge flashings and ridges fitted to match.
As a result of the over cladding we Improved the insulation and energy efficiency ensuring that the building stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter months. We increased the lifespan of existing roof system with the addition of a protective ‘second skin’ whilst enhancing the appearance of the building.
Our client now enjoys the benefits and greatly reduced maintenance costs for years to come with no more water ingress.
